hello, i'm in a spritely mood this morning. whee~

FINALLY got to read Candice's blog. like its real nice and all. heh. now let's see, i went to Derek's palce on Wednesday. played PS 2. so FUN! haha, i sound real kiddy now. moving on to more sombre stuff.

i saw a crow culling. ugh. walking past the canal bridge, i saw a dark blue van with the sign 'CROW CULLING KEEP AWAY' sign attached to the side. curious but a bit put off, i quickened my pace. 2 men got out of the vehicle, one carrying a rifle. in my head i was thinking oh man, i better get out of here before like they shoot down crows and they start plopping all over my head. CRACK the sound of a round fired from the weapon echoed off the adjacent school building. a crow fell less than 10 feet behind me. the sound made me wince but still i continued walking with narry a glance behind. a feather drifted to the ground. in my heart i was thinking man, why today, why shoot the stupid things. live and let live man. but no, not everybody thinks like that. more shots were fired, people started to stop and gape. a solitary crow flew past me, but eventually landed on the ground. flopping around. a round had broken its wing. i turned away from the poor creature. it attempted to fly but crashed into the ground shortly. i quickened my pace somemore. people were gathering to look at the culling. in my mind i was thinking why they do so, is it THAT interesting. behind me, the man with the rifle was blowing a crow whistle thing. like a duck horn. i made my way into the MRT. i didn't want to stop and look. no i didn't.

*sigh* saddens me to think how people just shoot crows like that. i know they like spread diseases and all. but still.
